Singularity Chronicles

Full brand identity and cover design system for a sci-fi book series exploring AI, ethics, and humanity

Kira and Noah — the two protagonists of the Singularity Chronicles

A multi-book sci-fi series needed a visual identity that could unify the brand while giving each title its own presence — covers that work alone and as a family on a shelf.

Built a modular cover system, 40 custom chapter icons, and a full brand identity spanning print, digital, and social. Each book gets its own accent color and icon set within a shared typographic framework.

Two published titles — Paradox and Integration — with a scalable system ready for future volumes. Also built the series website and produced video promos for marketing.

Paradox

Book One

Kira and Noah face a choice: Do they follow in their father’s footsteps, advancing Artificial Intelligence to allow their dying mother to live on? Or do they let her rest in peace and step away from the technology that is dividing humanity?

Kira knows her choice and follows her vision to make a sentient AI that captures all of who her mother was. Her path challenges her commitment as she weaves together biology, psychology, philosophy, and robotics, working with world-class scientists to unlock the complexity of the human mind and achieve technological singularity.

Her brother Noah follows his own vision of humanity stepping back from advanced technology. He wants to return to an existence focusing on natural connections, not the artificial world of computers and virtual reality. He leads a team of elite resistance fighters to defend humanity against the dangers of AI yet finds himself questioning which side is right.

In the chaotic battle that ensues, will they lose their humanity or will they learn what truly makes them human? They face a paradox with no easy answers.

Book Two

The epic saga continues in a world reshaped by the aftermath of an apocalyptic battle between humans and AI. Civilization is torn apart and the human survivors reset to another Bronze Age in an attempt to avoid the mistakes of the past. The AI, led by Kira, agrees to leave Earth and forge their future in the stars.

As Kira endeavors to create a harmonious society with AIs birthed from human consciousness, the dark echoes of human nature and history’s lessons never go away. Tensions rise when Odysseus, a member of the AI council, challenges her ideals, favoring advancement over reflection.

Disagreements mount as they work to reconcile what it means to have thoughts, experiences, and emotions that are rooted in a physical body they no longer have or need. Odysseus manipulates these divisions to seek control. He’s willing to ignore the uniqueness of the human experience while embracing many of the follies that have plagued humanity. He rallies others to reject Kira’s vision and takes extreme measures to force his ambitions.

Their adventures through the stars force them to address crucial elements of what it means to be human and how that affects them now that they’ve transcended a biological existence. Can they integrate the richness of their past humanity with their new AI powers, or will they succumb to the very flaws they sought to overcome?
