The scale

Each row is a role. The site asks for a role, never a raw size. The larger roles shrink on small screens by themselves.

Rules
  • Headings in sentence case. Capitals only for short labels, spaced wide.
  • Keep Jost headings short. It reads best large and in few words.
  • One Heading 1 per page. Do not skip levels to get a size you like.
  • Body text never runs wider than about 66 characters, which is --measure.
  • Two weights of Jost (500, 600) and three of Inter (400, 500, 600). No others.
  • Mono is seasoning. A label here and there, never a paragraph.
  • Text is never set below 12 pixels.
Where the fonts come from
  • Jost is in brand/fonts, with its license. It is free to use.
  • Inter and JetBrains Mono load from Google Fonts. On the site, Next.js will fetch and host all three at build time.
  • The lettering inside the logo is drawn, not typed. Do not try to match it with a font.
