What it does
// 01Pick the posts
Paste a link and the whole archive appears as cards. Search, filter by year, and click the ones that belong in the book.
// 02Put the chapters in order
Drag chapters into reading order. Click one to see its real pages. Set a chapter in two columns or open it with a full-page image.
// 03Edit a chapter
Change a title, add a note before the chapter, or untick a paragraph that should not be in the book. The original post is not touched.
// 04Eight covers
Pick a template, then change the colors, the typefaces, the symbol and the pattern. Drag anything on the cover to move it.
// 05Back cover and spine
Write the blurb and add an author photo. The back, the spine and the front are drawn as one sheet, with the spine sized to the page count.
// 06Lay out the pages
Ten typefaces, four trim sizes, three chapter openers, chapter icons, page numbers and running headers. Every change sets the real pages again.
What it is
Writers put years into a newsletter, and then it sits in an archive nobody scrolls. I wanted a way to turn that archive into a book you can hold.
StackPress reads your posts from Substack, Ghost, Beehiiv, Medium or any blog with a feed. You pick the ones you want, put them in order, design the cover and the pages, and export. It walks you through five steps, and you see real pages the whole way.
It is for writers printing their own essays. Every part of it is free. There are no plans and no watermark, and you do not need an account.
